Fewer Calories, Zero Compromises: Fever-Tree Naturally Light

The light tonic category has historically been a graveyard of good intentions. Brands arrive, strip the sugar, replace it with something synthetic, and end up with a mixer that tastes faintly medicinal and nothing like what it promises. Fever-Tree's Naturally Light breaks the pattern.

The secret is erythritol: a naturally occurring sugar alcohol that provides body without the chemical aftertaste of aspartame or acesulfame-K. Combined with a touch of stevia and a slightly higher quinine ratio, the Naturally Light has genuine presence in the glass. It is not as round or rich as the full-sugar Indian Tonic, but neither does it feel like something has been taken away.

At 11 kcal per 100ml, this is practically guilt-free territory. The very slight plant-based sweetness from the stevia is a non-issue when the tonic is properly chilled. A 8.0 that could easily have been lower in worse hands — Fever-Tree earns this score.
